6 teens accused of golf ball vandalism will face felony charges, Boise Police say

Boise Police Department

Charges have been filed against six teenagers accused of vandalism from golf balls that cost at least $15,000 in damage in north and southeast Boise in late January, the Boise Police Department announced Tuesday.

Police said that 18-year-old Cordar Moore, two 17-year-olds and three 16-year-olds each face felony charges of malicious injury to property. The teenagers admitted to causing the damage in early February, which resulted in more than 30 incident reports on vehicles and property. Boise Police said the suspects were identified and then confessed to the damages.

The damages were caused by “a couple dozen” golf balls that were thrown or launched at property, according to police. The vandalism occurred on the night of Jan. 26.

Moore was booked into the Ada County Jail Friday and will make his next court appearance on March 19. Because the other five teenagers are younger than 18, their identities were not released by police.
