Teenager, who is accused of attacking girl and battering BPD officer, charged as adult

A 17-year-old male has been charged as an adult after he was arrested Saturday on three felony charges stemming from an incident where he allegedly attacked a girl and battered a responding police officer, the Boise Police Department said.

The teenager, whose named has not been released by police, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery, one felony count of forcible sexual penetration by use of a foreign object, one count of battery with intent to commit a serious felony and one felony count of battery on a law enforcement officer.

At about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to an incident on the 3000 block of West Pasadena Drive. Police said a male attacked a teenage girl and two other individuals who had tried to intervene. When officers arrived and tried to reach the suspect, he struck one of the officers.
