A man hit by a car while crossing River and 8th streets on Friday survived, but the person who hit him remains wanted.
Officers responded to the hit-and-run around noon and witnesses told them that the vehicle hit the man while he was in the crosswalk and knocked him to the ground. Evidence indicates that the car was traveling east on River Street, according to the Boise Police Department.
Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Boise police have not disclosed the victim’s name.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a blue passenger car, possibly an early-2000s model. The vehicle could be a Chevrolet Malibu, Monte Carlo or similar style of Buick. There may be damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.
