Boise Police arrested Devon Elmore on Monday. Elmore, 28, allegedly fled the scene of a car crash in May, abandoning his two passengers.

The Boisean crashed into a tree around 5:50 p.m. May 25 while traveling south on Capitol Boulevard, near the Boise Train Depot.

Police say Elmore ran away from the scene, leaving his passengers inside the vehicle. The passengers were injured and were later transported to the hospital.

A warrant was issued July 3 for Elmore’s arrest on the felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in an injury or death and on a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving.

Elmore remains in custody at the Ada County Jail with bond set at $100,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 29.
