Crews rescue Foothills mountain bikers with possible heat exhaustion

Boise fire crews were called out to rescue three mountain bikers around 5:06 p.m. Monday on Peggy’s Trail in the Foothills.

The bikers were suffering from heat exhaustion near the Sweet Connie trailhead, according to Boise Fire. Two were taken off the trail on emergency responders’ ATVs and one was able to ride back out.

The scene was cleared around 5:45 p.m. and the bikers did not sustain serious injuries.

Peggy’s Trail runs for 4.7 miles and connects to Sweet Connie, a 6.1-mile trail that descends from the Stack Rock complex to the lower half of Bogus Basin Road.
