Firefighters mopping up small human-caused brush fire in southeast Boise

Boise firefighters on Tuesday afternoon responded to reports of a brush fire in southeast Boise, according to Ada County emergency dispatchers.

A dispatch supervisor told the Statesman the fire was reported around 12:45 p.m. where East Warm Springs Avenue meets Idaho 21. Firefighters were mopping up on the fire by 1:30 p.m., according to a Boise Fire Department tweet.

The tweet said the fire appeared to be human caused.

The fire burned under a bridge, according to the dispatcher. Both roads run parallel to the Boise River near that intersection.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.

A BFD tweet said the fire burned approximately an acre.
