The long-awaited paving on Interstate 84 in Canyon County has been called off this weekend due to predictions of inclement weather, according to the Idaho Transportation Department.
Paving is scheduled to resume the weekend of June 16-19.
Lane reductions between Nampa and Caldwell are part of ITD’s work to repave that worn-out I-84 stretch. The majority of the work was scheduled for four weekends in June to keep I-84 open during the weekday commute.
The project will prolong the pavement life until additional capacity can be added to I-84.
