A man trying to cross Fairview Avenue outside of a crosswalk was hit by a passing car Wednesday evening, Boise police said.
Police responded at about 7:10 p.m. to the scene on Fairview, between Milwaukee Street and Cole Road.
The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to a police statement provided mid-morning Thursday. An ambulance took the man to a local hospital — the closest would have been Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center on Curtis Road.
It’s not clear why the man tried to cross Fairview then, nor if the driver of the westbound car was able to see him before the collision.
No citations had been issued as of mid-morning Thursday, police said.
