Boise police investigating body found in parking lot

Officers are investigating after a passerby reported a body in a parking lot near the intersection of McMillan and Maple Grove roads Wednesday morning, according to a Boise Police Department press release.

BPD said the body of an unidentified adult male was first reported around 10:31 a.m. The man's body was found inside a vehicle parked in a gravel parking lot.

According to police, an investigation is ongoing. An Ada County Coroner’s Office spokeswoman said Wednesday afternoon that officials are in the process of notifying next of kin and no information about the man was publicly available.

BPD first mentioned the case in a tweet around 12:45 p.m., but the scene had been cleared before reporters arrived shortly thereafter.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious vehicles in the area to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS or leave a tip via the P3 Tips smartphone app.
