The Inn at 500 Capitol, the six-story, upscale Downtown hotel under construction at 500 Capitol Blvd., is expected to open late this year. The developer, Obie Development Partners, offered Boise leaders and media a tour of a model room Friday to show what the hotel’s $200-a-night rooms will look like.

Each room will have a fireplace, walk-in shower, luxury bedding and a personal butler closet between doors that connect the rooms to hallways. The closets allow hotel staffers to drop off room-service items without disturbing guests.

Seventy of the hotel’s 112 rooms will have private balconies. All rooms will have valet service and locally inspired art. The Inn at 500 Capitol will accommodate dogs.

Richard’s Cafe Vicino is moving from its location in the North End near the Boise Co-op to take up residence at the hotel. It will open under the name Richard’s.

Public tours of the model room are available every Friday beginning May 6. To register, email info@innat500.com.
