Primary Health to open Garden City urgent-care clinic

Primary Health Medical Group will open a new clinic near the Fred Meyer supermarket in Garden City.

The clinic is slated to open in early 2016 on the 5600 block of East Chinden Boulevard. It will be the 17th location for Primary Health, a local multi-specialty group.

According to Primary Health, there are no other urgent-care clinics within Garden City limits.

The Garden City clinic will offer walk-in urgent care for illnesses and injuries. Patients will be able to make appointments for occupational-health physicals, drug screens, worker’s compensation injury care and family medicine visits.

“We’ve identified a real patient need for high-quality, accessible health care in Garden City, and we are pleased to bring that to the neighborhood through our combination clinic model,” said Dr. David Peterman, president of Primary Health Medical Group, in a news release. “In addition to being affordable, patients will also continue to benefit from our use of electronic health records. With those records, they can visit any Primary Health location and receive seamless, consistent care.”

The group also will open new clinics in Boise and Meridian this year. It is hiring physicians and staff; visit www.primaryhealth.com to apply.
