The value of Idaho’s exported goods reached $5.1 billion in 2014 — a 76 percent increase from 10 years earlier, according to a report from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Computer and electronics products made up about $2.3 billion in exports from Idaho manufacturers last year, the office said.
Processed food accounted for about $777 million of Idaho’s exports.
In all, goods exports from Idaho supported about 26,000 jobs in 2013.
That is a decline from previous years — the lowest number of jobs since 2009. Jobs supported by exports reached 29,742 in 2011 and have fallen since then.
