New event planned for Boise ‘compassionate’ businesses

A new event called the “Compassion Café” will debut April 28 at the Imagination Lab in the Micron Business and Economic Center at Boise State University.

The event allows Boise businesses to talk about treating workers and customers well and making significant contributions to the community.

The event is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Attendance is free and includes hors d’oeuvres and drinks. It is sponsored by TechHelp-Idaho at Boise State and Buffington Mohr McNeal, a wealth management firm.

Each business can record a brief video for the Compassionate Boise website.

This is the first of a series of business events stemming from a program launched by the Gardner Co. and others Oct. 20. It aims to “compile the best practices of Boise businesses, both internally and externally, to build a picture of a caring and welcoming community,” according to a press release.

To register for the event email or call 313-7171.
