Ada County’s median home price reaches $232,000, Canyon’s $142,700

In August, Jere Webb, associate broker at Downs Realty in Eagle, was one of several real estate pros in the area who told the Statesman that a decline in pending sales could mean the Treasure Valley’s rapid growth in home sales could cool off.

But pending sales have picked back up, keeping home sales in both Ada and Canyon counties on a torrid track compared with 2014.

“For one month, I thought there were signs of a slowdown because pending sales were down,” Webb says. “But that quickly turned around. This has just been a boomer of a year.”

Listings are down in the tight market. Buyers are snatching up listed homes in Ada County, Webb says.

“I’m down to one listing, and that had seven showings over the weekend and an offer in this morning,” Webb said on a recent Monday. “I’m busier than a one-armed paper hanger.”
