The new owner of Karcher Estates in Nampa says it will retain the 172 workers working at 1127 Caldwell Boulevard and at an attached skilled nursing center.
Prestige Care bought the assisted-living center and Karcher Post-Acute & Rehabilitation Center, as well as two similar operations in Wenatchee and Ellensburg in Washington, from owner Carl Campbell.
Campbell filed a notice with the Idaho Department of Labor saying the Nampa jobs were being terminated but that employees would likely be rehired by the new owner. Prestige Care spokeswoman Hollie Fowler told the Idaho Statesman that employees would be retained.
“We’re working to make the transition as smooth as possible and have no plans for administrative changes or employee layoffs at this time,” she said.
Prestige Care operates more than 70 senior communities throughout the West, including a Caldwell Alzheimer’s and dementia care center, Expressions Memory Care at Autumn Wind.
