Black Rock Coffee Bar will open its first Idaho store this month in Meridian at 1757 W. Chinden Blvd. just east of Locust Grove Road.

A grand-opening celebration featuring free drinks all day starts at 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30.

A second store, near Boise State University at 1604 S. Broadway Ave., next to Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, is slated to open later this fall.

Both stores will feature a drive-thru and indoor seating.

The Portland company has more than 30 stores in Oregon and Washington. This year it is expanding into Idaho and Arizona.

“We have plans to plant seven locations [in Idaho] in the next three years,” said marketing director Zachary Bemrose.

The two new Idaho stores are owned by Chris Wright, of Meridian, and Mike Goergen, of Medford, Ore.

More information on Black Rock Coffee Bar is available via its website and Facebook, Twitter and Instagram social media sites.
