Elvis, 1-1/2, is a 60-pound neutered male black and tan coonhound. He is truly a hound in every sense of the word — he bays, is great at sniffing out scents and has tons of energy for running and hunting. He would do best with an owner who has experience with the breed. Elvis unfortunately lacked obedience training and regular socialization in his previous home. He needs a family that will ensure he receives plenty of exercise and training, and give him lots of love and attention. He would be great for an active family with older children.
Elvis (#30675751) is in kennel 317 at the Idaho Humane Society, 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. You can learn more at idahohumanesociety.org.
