Ada County Pet of the Week: Indie

Indie is a 3-year-old brown and white pit bull terrier mix. Indie is a sweet and gentle dog who lost her home because her owner could no longer afford to care for her. Indie loves attention and gets along with people of all ages. She is house- and crate-trained. She is reportedly good with cats and children. She may prefer to be an only dog in her household, but her previous owner reported she does better with smaller dogs or male dogs. If there are other dogs in your household, it is recommended you bring them along for introductions at the shelter. Indie knows how to sit on command, but is eager and attentive when training with treats and praises so she could easily learn much more.

Indie (#28619188) can be found in kennel 323 at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
