Ada County pet of the week: Scooter the domestic shorthair

Scooter, 4, is a neutered male, black, brown and white, domestic shorthair cat. Scooter is a social cat whose previous owner recently passed away. He is a big, robust guy at nearly 17 pounds. With his beautiful, thick tabby stripes and swirls and his white nose and paws, he is a handsome cat. Scooter has previously lived happily with canine pals and has perhaps picked up some canine traits, as he behaves like an amicable dog-like cat. He has lived previously only with adults, but is interactive, playful and social. He’d likely do great with older children that would engage him in playtime with toys. Scooter is litter-box trained and would thrive in a safe, indoor home. Meet him today at the shelter.

Scooter (#27934474) can be found in kennel 321 at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
