Juniper kicks off Idaho Wine and Dairy month with Freak Alley tasting

Help launch Idaho Wine and Idaho Dairy months with music, wine and cheese from 5-8 p.m. June 2 in Downtown’s Freak Alley.

The folks at Juniper Kitchen and Cocktail, 211 N. 8th St., Boise, are producing the event.

Now, Juniper co-owner Kacey Montgomery will bring the Idaho Wine Commission and the United Dairymen of Idaho together with eight Idaho wineries and local and national cheese makers in one of Boise’s most unique art venues Freak Alley, a graffiti gallery in an empty lot on Bannock Street between 8th and 9th streets.

Enter through Juniper to reach the event. You’ll be able to taste wines from Cinder and Coiled wines, Huston, Koenig and Vickers vineyards, Snake River and Split Rail wineries and Telaya Wine Co. and a variety of cheeses from Idaho’s Ballard Family Dairy and Cheese, and national brands Galbani and Gossner.

It’s free.
