The grocery stores are full of sweet potatoes, which are among the most fall-appropriate residents of the produce department. This week, we'll share sweet potato recipes, any of which would be a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving table. Today's comes from the food blog Savory Sweet Life.
2 cups sweet potatoes, mashed (* approx. 1.5 big sweet potatoes cubed & boiled for 15 minutes)
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons butter), softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 cup evaporated milk (half of a 12 oz. can)
3 tablespoons heavy cream
1 9 in” unbaked pie crust
