Let’s face it: A taproom with a capacity of nine people doesn’t sound particularly festive.
If Barbarian Brewing’s small space has kept you away, now might be time to reconsider. The taproom at 5270 W. Chinden Blvd. (technically in Garden City) has been expanded to seat 49 people, allowing more beer to flow.
Barbarian will host an expansion party from 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 29. B-Town Bistro food truck will serve food, electric string-pop duo Razzvio will perform (6 to 8 p.m.), and three new beers will be released: Bottles of Ol’ Samson, a port-and-pinot-noir-barrel-aged barley wine, plus tapped brews Mystery Barrel Sour 1.0 and Plumberry Weiss.
One of the Treasure Valley’s newest breweries, Barbarian opened in 2015 with a focus on barrel-aged beers.
