Pet of the week

Alana, 2, is a spayed female, black and brown, domestic longhair cat.

Petite, light-on-her feet and beautiful, Alana is like a little pixie. She has aqua green eyes that dazzle against her well-groomed coat. She seems to have refined tastes and enjoys gentle affection and directs your petting to areas she most enjoys, like her back and chin.

Alana is litter-box trained. Her long coat will likely require occasional grooming to look her best and she’d love an indoor home where she can stay clean, safe and content. Found as a stray in Boise, we’re not sure if Alana has lived with other pets or children previously. But she seems to lavish in the company of people, so she’d probably be pleased to have the company of mature, respectful children.

Slow, careful introductions are always recommended when introducing a new pet to resident pets. Meet her today at the shelter.

Alana (#26872004) can be found in cat cage 103 at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
