A pair of apartment buildings on the 200 block of Village Lane were evacuated Friday afternoon after a contractor struck a gas line, according to the Ada County Dispatch.
The gas line, located on Crestline Drive, has since been secured and repairs are ongoing, according to Intermountain Gas spokesman Mark Hanson.
The initial accident was called in at around 4:15 p.m., dispatchers said. The buildings were evacuated for precautionary reasons and residents will be allowed back in after the gas has dissipated, according to Hanson.
