Armed with an expanded menu, Flatbread Neopolitan Pizzeria is coming to Eagle next month.
The restaurant will unveil its sixth location — fourth in Idaho — at Eagle Island Marketplace at the corner of Chinden Boulevard and Linder Road. Owner Robert Lumsden plans to open the restaurant, formerly Bono’s at 6700 N. Linder Road, within weeks.
“We’re shooting for the last week in September — nothing in stone at this point in time,” he says.
Flatbread is known for baking its pizzas at 800 degrees or higher in wood-fired ovens. The Eagle eatery will offer a full bar and the most extensive menu of any location, Lumsden says.

“Since we’re taking over a kitchen that was much larger than our usual kitchens, we’re able to take advantage of that and put some extra items on the menu,” he says. “We’re kind of taking the Downtown (Boise) menu and expanding on that. We might even do a Calabrian chile burger. Our executive chef has put together a nice bacon pepper jam that we’re testing on it. It’s impressive.”
Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria rebranded itself from Flatbread Community Oven a few years ago. The other restaurants are in Downtown Boise, Bown Crossing and Meridian, as well as Salt Lake City and Bend, Ore.
