Fleetwood Mac tribute band to rock Village at Meridian on Friday

When you’re in a tribute band, no achievement ranks higher than getting the thumbs up from the source of your inspiration. So you’ve got to hand it to Fleetwood Mask, a Fleetwood Mac tribute act headlining The Village at Meridian’s “Rock the Village” concert this weekend. The California-based group’s website is anchored by a video of approval from Mick Fleetwood himself. “Get excited. Get ready,” he proclaims in the video. “You are in for a real treat, because Fleetwood Mask is about to hit the stage.” Calling them “terrific musicians,” Fleetwood adds that, “The members of Fleetwood Mask are here to bring you an experience you will remember. Not only do they sound great, they even look like us. I’m proud to know the music of Fleetwood Mac is in good hands, indeed.”

5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, The Village at Meridian, 3600 E. Fairview Ave. thevillageatmeridian.com. Free. Opening: BFD. Headliner starts at 6:30 p.m.
