Been to Alive After Five in Boise before? Rock the Village is sort of a a higher-end, California-vibed take on that free music event set in the courtyard at The Village at Meridian. This week’s entertainer is Elton John: The Early Years, aka touring tribute musician Kenny Metcalf and his backing band. If you dig Elton, you’ll get a kick out of seeing Metcalf wear the flamboyant costuming and tickle the ivories. This is a tribute to the Elton of the 1970s, meaning fans will hear classics such as “Levon,” “Rocket Man,” “Honky Cat” and “Benny and the Jets.” Opening act: Steve Eaton and The Grateful Dudes.
