If you listen to adult contemporary radio (think Mix 106), you’re familiar with Charlottesville, Va., pop-rockers Parachute. In 2009, the fresh-from-college musicians struck the right chord with their debut album, “Losing Sleep,” fueled by frontman/songwriter Will Anderson’s smooth, romantic vocals. The singles “She Is Love” and “Under Control” both were used on Nivea skincare TV commercials. Slots opening for established acts such as Kelly Clarkson also helped widen Parachute’s fan base. Time flies. The group is now touring behind its fourth album, “Wide Awake.”
