If you’re an ’80s metal-lite band still touring in 2016, is there a more fitting name than Y&T? (It stands for Yesterday & Today.) Formed way back in 1974, Y&T continues to deliver melodic hard-rock choruses and shredding solos like it’s three decades ago. Vocalist-guitarist Dave Meniketti (second from left) might be 62, but he still sounds passionate singing about bikini-clad “Summertime Girls” (classic video!) and his band’s not-so-ominous “Mean Streak.” Rawk on, dudes.
8 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, Knitting Factory, 416 S. 9th St., Boise. $16. TicketWeb. $18 day of show. Opening: Midline
