Reverend Horton Heat to rock at Boise concert March 6

Invision

You’ll find religion fast — as in galloping-drumbeat fast — at a Reverend Horton Heat concert. The Rev, aka singer-guitarist Jim Heath, has been converting followers since he formed his unique band in 1985. The Texas trio’s music is often called “psychobilly.” In layman’s terms, the Rev’s sonic sermon is essentially a wildly entertaining blend of rockabilly, swing, punk, surf, country — and humor. Never witnessed a Rev show? Atone for your sin and buy a ticket for Sunday.

8 p.m. Sunday, March 6, Knitting Factory, 416 S. 9th St., Boise. $16. TicketWeb. Opening: Unknown Hinson, Legendary Shack Shakers, Lincoln Durham
