Underrated rock band Clutch isn’t a household name, and that’s fine with fans. The Maryland group has unleashed heavy-rock grooves since 1991, earning diehard followers and cult group status. Clutch releases its own albums — why sign to a record label these days? — but that didn’t stop 2013’s excellent “Earth Rocker” from entering the Billboard Top 200 at No. 15. Meanwhile, Clutch’s latest and 11th studio album, “Psychic Warfare,” hit the streets earlier this month and reached No. 11 on the same chart. In a word: Clutch.
