Michael Deeds recommends

Gentle Rowser: Saturday, O’Michael’s Pub & Grill. Whether it’s an Earth, Wind & Fire cover or a Hall & Oates hit from this Boise singer-guitarist, it’s always pure Gentle.

Rooney: Sunday, The Olympic. Led by actor-musician Robert Schwartzman — nephew of Francis Ford Coppola, cousin of Nicolas Cage — Rooney sold hundreds of thousands of albums in the early to mid 2000s.

James McMurtry: Tuesday, Neurolux. If sardonic lyrics are your thing, McMurtry has to be on your radar. He’s also an underrated electric guitarist.
