Michael Deeds recommends

Boise’s Funniest Person: Saturday, Liquid. Join friends and family in cheering on local amateur comedians who take their turn in the spotlight.

Marcus King Band: Tuesday, Knitting Factory. A bluesy, 21-year-old singer-guitarist, King released his debut album in 2015 on Warren Haynes’ label. Haynes fans will hear definite similarities in King’s sound.

Nite Jewel: Thursday, Neurolux. This Los Angeles singer-songwriter’s music gets compared to Janet Jackson and Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. Consequently, she’s automatically cool.
