Still rockin’ the suburbs after all these years, piano man Ben Folds is unleashing his “A Piano & a Playpen” solo rock tour. For Folds fans, this is going to be a treat — a showcase reminiscent of his first solo tour in 2001. The concert is described as Folds, 50, “performing his classic and current pop songs, telling stories, interacting with the audiences, and improvisation with a host of instruments.” If you aren’t convinced that a man and a piano can truly rock a room, you need to see this.
8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, Knitting Factory, 416 S. 9th St., Boise. $32.50. TicketWeb. $35 day of show.
