Success didn’t happen overnight for Chris Young. The singer won the TV show “Nashville Star” in 2006, but his self-titled debut album that year didn’t exactly light up the charts. It wasn’t until three years later that Young had his first No. 1 country hit, “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song).” It’s been a steady build since then for Young, now a legitimate arena act. “It’s a cool feeling for all of us as artists, looking back and thinking about playing clubs and having 100 people show up,” he told Billboard a couple of years ago. Young will roll into Nampa on his “I’m Comin’ Over” tour with opener (and former “The Voice” winner) Cassadee Pope, who duets with him on the hit “Think of You.”

7:30 p.m. Oct. 15, Ford Idaho Center, 16200 Idaho Center Blvd., Nampa. $39.50 and $55. ICTickets. Opening: Dan + Shay, Dustin Lynch and Cassadee Pope.
