Jackson Browne comes to Boise for a solo acoustic concert

Fresh on the heels of a Neil Young concert at Outlaw Field, fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jackson Browne will rekindle baby-boomer nostalgia at the Morrison Center. Jackson won’t be “Running on Empty” at the show, but he also won’t bring his typical amount of backing-band firepower. This will be a solo acoustic concert — just the singer-songwriter and his guitar (or piano). That means fans will experience intimate, softer versions of hits such as “Take It Easy” and “Somebody’s Baby.” It also means that Jackson, 67, should have time to tell between-song anecdotes about the good ol’ days.

7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, Morrison Center, 2201 Cesar Chavez Lane, Boise. $56-$76. Ticketmaster.
