▪ If you are a fan of Americana music, then hit the Willy Porter & Carmen Nickerson show Friday, Oct. 7, at the Riverside Hotel’s Sapphire Room. It’s part of Andy Byron’s Americana Music Series. Porter, a virtuosic guitarist known for his intricate finger-picking style, and the lush-voiced Nickerson are hot in the indie music scene and have performed on Prairie Home Companion.

▪ Iconic Boise jazz duo, singer Sally Tibbs and keyboardist Kevin Kirk, are celebrating 45 years of performing together in the Treasure Valley.
