1. GET WET IN EAGLE

Eagle Fun Days is this weekend. [Schedule] Take the kids to Family Fun Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Then rest up, because Saturday entertainment goes from 11:30 a.m. to midnight in Heritage Park. Get hosed down at the Wet & Wild Parade starting at 1 p.m.

2. ROCK THE VILLAGE

Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band Blue Moon Swamp kicks off this summer’s free Rock the Village concert series, which happens 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Fridays at The Village at Meridian.

3. LAUGH LOCALLY

For the next four Saturdays at 8 p.m., amateur stand-up comedians will battle for bragging rights and a $1,000 cash prize at “Boise’s Funniest Person.” It starts this weekend at Liquid Laughs. (Opening night is sold out online, but there will be a few tickets available at the door; show up early!)

You’ve heard their song “Civilians” on AMC’s zombie series “The Walking Dead.” Or maybe you haven’t. Either way, indie duo Wye Oak is definitely worth checking out Sunday at The Olympic in Downtown Boise.

5. ROAD TRIP TO CHICAGO

It’s only a three-hour jaunt to Jackpot, Nev., where classic-rockers Chicago will perform a Sunday afternoon outdoor concert at Cactus Petes. Come on. Take a gamble!
