1. DON’T HAVE A COW ...

... To quote Bart Simpson. Instead, party down at Meridian Dairy Days, which is happening all weekend. The big parade cruises down Main Street starting at 6:45 p.m. Friday. Fireworks erupt afterward at Meridian Speedway when it gets dark.

2. TAKE A FANTASTIC VOYAGE

Hello, 1995! Get your Coolio fix at this year’s Boise Music Festival on Saturday at Expo Idaho. If you’re worried about crowds, don’t be. There will only be 30 zillion people or so.

3. HITCH A RIDE

If you haven’t checked out Memorial Stadium as a concert venue, here’s your chance. Classic-rock band Boston (with guitarist Tom Scholz still in the band) will headline Sunday. [Tickets]

4. CLOWN AROUND

The Shrine Circus is back at CenturyLink Arena for performances at 3 and 7 p.m. Friday, and at 1 and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. [Tickets]

5. ALIENATE YOUR HOME THEATER

Wwait, where’s Will Smith? Um ... busy. Nevertheless, “Independence Day: Resurgence” has returned to blow up the world. In 3-D. Get out of the house and into an actual movie theater. [Tickets]
