1. HIT THE CRIT
See that girl? She knows what’s up. You need to bust out those noisy clickers. It’s time to cheer on talented cyclists speeding through Downtown Boise at the Twilight Criterium on Saturday. Or not-so-talented locals huffing through the Celebrity Greenbike Race (or friendler “Ride,” as it’s listed on the event schedule). Pray for me. I haven’t wrecked on a bike in almost a month. I’m overdue.

2. ROCK THE VILLAGE
It is a big-time bummer that The Suffers got rained out at Alive After Five this week. But you can still enjoy a free outdoor music party when Rock the Village fires up at 6:30 p.m. Friday at The Village at Meridian’s Fountain Square. The band is Fleetwood Mac tribute act Fleetwood Mask. Based on the video below, they must be fairly impressive, right?
3. ROCK THE FAIRWAY
The Albertsons Boise Open showcases great golf, but you also can see some live music and have a cold one outside. “Rockin’ the Fairway” starts right after the golf ends.
4. FLY INTO EAGLE
Guitar licks from Shane Dwight? Slow-cooked ’cue? Local beer? I can think of worse ways to spend Saturday, especially considering that Blues and Bones takes place at lovely Crooked Flats in Eagle. So go. This is, of course, assuming that you can tear yourself away from Eagle Fun Days for a few hours.
5. HAVE A ZAC ATTACK
The Georgia-based Zac Brown Band visits Taco Bell Arena on Friday. (Can’t they rename the place after a Southern-food chain for a night?) It should be a great show for fans, but I still wish Dave Grohl was on drums. [Tickets]
