Michael Deeds: Watch bikini-clad Boisean compete in Miss Twin Peaks National Contest on live TV stream

It’s bikini weather. The temperature is aiming for 90 degrees today.

So who would I have been to ignore the timely press release in my email box from Twin Peaks, the “breastaurant” with 70 locations, including one in Boise?

Bikini-clad finalists from nearly all of those restaurants — including Brekke from Boise (no last names for contestants, I guess) — will compete Wednesday night in the Miss Twin Peaks National Contest. At stake: $5,000 cash and cover-girl status on the 2016 Twin Peaks Calendar.

The event, hosted by “Fast N’ Loud” star Richard Rawlings, will take place in Dallas. But you can watch it streamed live at Twin Peaks in Boise, 7751 W. Spectrum St., beginning at 7 p.m. June 24 — drinking one of the pub’s 29-degree beers to keep things cool.

“We’re so excited to be hosting our national contest in Dallas,” Kristen Colby, Senior Director of Marketing at Twin Peaks, gushed in a press release. “This is our biggest event of the year and we’re thrilled to showcase the stars of our restaurants — the beautiful and confident Twin Peaks Girls.”
