Concert notes: Rise Against to return; MayhemFest offers “666 sale”

Local promoter CTTouring made a couple of notable announcements this morning. Here’s the scoop:

Melodic hardcore band Rise Against will headline Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Revolution Center. Support acts include Killswitch Engage and Letlive. When Rise Against last visited Boise in 2012, the band played for more than 4,000 people at CenturyLink Arena. So rocking the RevCenter is kind of a fun, intimate change for fans.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for $35 at Ticketfly ($65 VIP).

The Rockstar Mayhem Festival, which will visit the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater on Wednesday, July 1, is cutting ticket prices for three days — assuming they last. You can get six lawn tickets for $66 bucks, but the number of tickets being sold at that price is limited to a few hundred. The “666 sale” goes from 10 a.m. June 5 until 10 p.m. June 7 at ICTickets. Eleven bucks per ticket? To see Slayer? And King Diamond? That’s a deal, headbangers.
