5 new Boise concerts: Wiz Khalifa, Little Big Town, Alabama Shakes, more

It’s a huge Monday for concert announcements: Outdoor shows, indoor shows, country bands, hip-hop artists — including the acts with the No. 1 pop and country singles in the nation. Here’s the scoop:

•  Hip-hop star

Wiz Khalifa

will headline Friday, July 31, at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. May 15 at

ICTickets

for $39.50 general-admission lawn, $55 reserved, $85 golden circle. Considering that Wiz has the

No. 1 song in the nation

, I’d expect tickets to sell “fast and furious.” DJ Drama opens the 7:30 p.m. concert.

•  As you might have heard me mention last night on

“The Other Studio,”

blues sensations

Alabama Shakes

are headed to the Idaho Botanical Garden’s

Outlaw Field on Aug. 5.

That will be a fun night. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. May 15 for $39.50 general admission at

TicketWeb

.

•  Canadian rock band

Three Days Grace

will headline at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Revolution Center. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. May 15 at

Ticketfly

for $29.50 general admission ($35 at the door), $59.50 VIP.

•  Oddball rockers

Primus

Revolution Center

on Tuesday, Sept. 8. This time it’s as their Willy Wonka-influenced incarnation,

Primus and the Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble

. This is a two-set event with intermission. Tickets to the 8 p.m. show go on sale at 10 a.m. May 15 at

Ticketfly

for $35 general admission, $55 VIP.

•  Country band

Little Big Town

— which has

the No. 1 country song

at the moment, “Girl Crush” — announced its fall tour this morning. Those dates include a stop Friday, Nov. 13, at Taco Bell Arena. Ticket prices haven’t been released, but the concert is scheduled to go on sale June 5.
