Concert news: Pop-rockers R5 to perform in Boise

Family band R5 will make its Boise debut when it headlines Aug. 12 at the Morrison Center.

The pop-rock group, fronted by 19-year-old Disney Channel sensation Ross Lynch, has announced the 7 p.m. show as part of its “Sometime Last Night” summer tour.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 17 for $32.50-$59.50 (plus fees) at Boise State Tickets.

You’re going to be seeing plenty of R5 in the near future. A concert documentary, “R5: All Day, All Night,” will be shown in theaters nationwide April 16, including at Edwards 22 Cinemas in Boise. The group’s sophomore album, “Sometime Last Night,” is due out July 10, right around the time the summer tour begins.
