Michael Deeds: 5 Things To Do This Weekend in Boise

1. SHORE UP YOUR SKILLS

Think you’re funny? No. You’re not. But seasoned pro Pauly Shore is, and he’s headlining Liquid Laughs tonight and Saturday. The Weasel is a legend, man. Shows are at 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. each night. (Tonight’s 8 p.m. show is sold out.)

2. HUNT FOR EGGS. OR ELSE.

Come on, Dad. Be a good parent. Haul the munchkins to one of the many Easter egg hunts Saturday in the Treasure Valley. DO NOT make the Easter bunny come visit you at home.

• • •

3. GET REVVED

Idahoan-turned-Texan brothers Micky and Gary Braun are still tearing it up with Micky and the Motorcars. Check out some country-rock tonight at the Knitting Factory in Boise or Saturday at Whiskey Jacques in Ketchum.

4. GEEK OUT ON GUITAR

Former Monotonix guitarist Yonatan Gat — named New York’s best guitarist of 2013 in the Village Voice — will blend punk spirit with free jazz in an instrumental performance that is sure to be inspiring. See his group Saturday at Neurolux.

• • •

5. SEE A HOCKEY DOC

Former Idaho Steelheads star Marty Flichel will introduce the 7 p.m. April 4 screening of “Red Army,” which is currently playing at The Flicks. That’s a score.
