5 Things You Should Do This Weekend in Boise

Shawn Raecke/Idaho Statesman

1. GET OUTDOORS

Throw a line at Free Fishing Day on Saturday. Or check out some of the best kayakers in the universe on some of Idaho's wickedest water today and Saturday at the third North Fork Championship. It's held on the North Fork of the Payette River between Banks and Smiths Ferry.

---

2. SPIT SOME CHERRIES

Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Emmett Cherry Festival, which is running now through Saturday.

---

3. ROCK IN AN ARENA

Rock band OneRepublic sold out Outlaw Field last year, so it's moved to the larger, indoor Taco Bell Arena on Friday.

---

4. GET CRUNKIN'

Lil Jon — performing Sunday at the Knitting Factory — has a gleefully lascivious video for his latest club hit, "Turn Down for What." But it's better to show Grandma the above adorable kitten version.

---

5. LAUGH WITH DAD

3 Picket Porter? Comedy? Food? Even a shuffleboard table? Crooked Fence Barrelhouse sounds like a fantastic Father's Day destination.
