Cloudy skies are ahead for fans of longtime Boise weatherman Vin Crosby.
Crosby gave his final forecast with Channel 2 on Friday.
"Tonight is my last show with KBOI TV. Looking for better hours to be with my daughter," Crosby wrote on Twitter.
KBOI general manager Robert Truman confirmed the departure in an email: "He’s moved on to spend more time with his family. KBOI will miss his tremendous weather knowledge and accuracy."
Crosby, a meteorologist since 1991, worked at what then was called KTRV Fox 12 for nine years before joining KBOI. He plans to stay in the Treasure Valley, according to his Twitter feed.
KBOI is searching for a new chief meteorologist.
