The Albertsons Boise Open has a trio of major concerts planned this week on the 18th fairway at Hillcrest Country Club.

But the hits have already started for elite attendees.

Pop-rock band the Jonas Brothers played a surprise, private indoor show for 500 sponsors and VIP guests Monday, according to a media release. The intimate performance took place in the Capital Dining Room after the Hershey Company Pro-Am. It would have been outdoors, but rain and wind hindered stage preparation, forcing the music inside.

Earlier this month, the Jonas Brothers kicked off their massive “The Tour” with back-to-back sold-out concerts at Yankee Stadium. The band will return to Idaho this fall for an arena show Nov. 5 at Ford Idaho Center in Nampa.

“Despite the weather challenges that Hurricane Hilary brought us, the Jonas Brothers were the perfect start to a great week of entertainment at this year’s Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron,” Jeff Sanders, CEO of Jeff Sanders Entertainment, the event’s production company, said in the release.

The 34th Albertsons Boise Open has three more concerts open to the general public: Sheryl Crow on Thursday, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts on Friday and Weezer on Saturday. The shows begin after golf ends. But tickets for golf and the concerts already are sold out all three days.

The Albertsons Boise Open has a recent history of notable private shows on the two nights before the public concerts. In 2021, Bon Jovi and Joan Jett performed for VIPs and sponsors. Last year, it was Little Big Town and Pat Benatar.

Tickets remain for Sunday’s final round and Junior Day. They cost $10 and are available at AlbertsonsBoiseOpen.com.

Junior Day, according to the media release, includes “a free tournament logo’d hat and lunch for the first 500 kids in attendance as well as free golf games and golf lessons for juniors of all skill levels.”
