What’s better than a taco? Two tacos.

So fans of Mexican food should celebrate. Tin Roof Tacos in Boise plans to open a second location in spring of 2018 — this one in Meridian. The new restaurant will be at 1750 W. McMillan Road in Northpointe Retail Plaza.

Tin Roof Tacos has earned a loyal following since opening at 115 S. Broadway Ave. in early 2016. In a Daily Meal story last year about “The Best Taco in Every State,” Tin Roof Tacos got the nod as Idaho’s standout. Owners Susan Loyd and Sandy Broun, who are sisters, bring a Tex-Mex influence to their take on street tacos. You’ll find customers munching freshly made tacos filled with barbecue brisket, pulled pork and baja shrimp. Oh, and sipping Texas-brewed Shiner Bock beer.

If you have a thing for breakfast tacos, you’re in luck. Tin Roof offers those around the clock.

“Our inspiration for Tin Roof Tacos was to re-create the neighborhood taco stand that we knew and loved in Texas,” Lloyd said in a media release. “We are so excited to bring that vision to life in Meridian, in a great location that will make us easily accessible to nearby businesses, schools and folks in the surrounding residential neighborhoods.”
