Cold Stone Creamery is giving away ice cream again.

The ice-cream parlor chain recently opened its second Boise location — at 7546 W. State St. in the North Pointe development across from Wal-Mart.

To celebrate, it will hold a grand opening and distribute free ice cream from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Show up for the festivities, and you’ll enjoy “a free custom creation of the smooth, creamy and handcrafted ice cream you love,” according to Cold Stone. “Plus, you could win Boise State football tickets, as well as gift cards, ice cream cakes and more.”

There are now four Cold Stone Creamery locations in the Treasure Valley. The other Boise one is at 1028 S. Vista Ave. There’s also a Cold Stone at 1400 N. Eagle Road in Meridian and 1238 Caldwell Blvd. in Nampa.
